This was a great read with great, emotional characters, but the end was flat and unreal. Maybe I have become cynical, lost that loving feeling in the abysmal modern world of internet love connections? The most touching, real was the main character’s search not only for the love of his life, currently exiled at a fat farm refusing to be contacted by him, to the search for himself. This is not the run-of-the-mill “finding oneself” storyline, though it possess an allegorical feel, and aura of tip of tongue truth and love constantly sought after by everyone, preciously and sometimes found in the nook of the least expected moments and relationships. If you like books about people, relationships, it will be an enlightening read with a less-than-enlightening but forgivable ending.
